"Every Tuesday", Exhibition at Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre, Hong Kong
逢星期二，蟻穎琳喜歡看海看風景，手執畫筆，以晦暗細膩的筆觸，捕捉大海與周遭事物最微不足道的情緒互動；陳惠立則喜歡到泳池游泳，久而久之經過對泳池長期觀察，以輕鬆的手法，由多角度記錄對這空間的幻想及寄托。
展覽《逢星期二》是兩位藝術家的生活日常，無獨有偶，二人都愛到與水有關聯的地方－或者因為水的意象是情感，風恬浪靜時予人安寧，而當水花四濺時，泛起的漣漪能引伸出無限遐想。
Ant Ngai Wing Lam enjoys her Tuesdays by gazing at the natural landscape and sea. With a brush in hand, and her delicate strokes, Ant is able to capture the most minute detail of emotional interactions within the surroundings.
Chan Wai Lap rather spends his Tuesdays swimming in the pool. After long periods of observation, Chan’s fantasy and sustenance of the pool is documented by multiple angles in a simplistic way.
The exhibition entitled “Every Tuesday” encapsulates both Artists’ ordinary daily lives. Surely it is coincidence that both artists’ share their love of water related activities? Could it be due to the numerous imageries that water can create - where in a calm state, water provides peacefulness, and yet when splashed around, the ripples can stimulate infinite imaginations?
